Writing Solidarity in Dublin
The next session of do the WRITE thing will be an ONLINE writing solidarity on zoom, Sunday 22 June 2025, 1 - 3 pm.
A huge bualadh bos to the do the WRITE thing solidarity writers who met at The Hendrick Smithfield on Sunday 25 May 2025. This was an emotional and heartwarming session with many words written, much baklava eaten (thanks to Walaa and Rawan), sharing of poems and prose, and special readings by our two Gazan sisters from an article in the Rolling Stone magazine and the We Are Not Numbers anthology, which is available in Books Upstairs Dublin.
We raised €1,250 and rising, and many thanks to everyone who supported this campaign with poster design (hats off to my great Pal-pal Melanie Veenstra), spreading the word, solidarity attendance, donations, minding the cash (thanks to Denise Whooly, another great Pal-pal), and to our lovely hosts the staff at The Hendrick in Smithfield.
Onwards and upwards, let’s keep the do the WRITE thing lit and please let your network know about our next event online.
